EXPLORE around the property and around the area. Charter a biplane at the Enumclaw Airfield and soar with the eagles. Your bird's eye view takes in the area from the Back Forte to Mt Ranier. Take photos, get impressions, decide where you want to ride when you get back on the ground!

STUDY in our Base Camp Library. We have books on Finance, Business, Psychology, Astonomy, Religion, Thinking, Creativity, THE THUNKS! and much much more. Base Camp Library has the entire Ayn Rand collection including a 1956 signed Atlas Shrugged. We have Ken Wilber's signed series including Sex, Ecology, and Spirituality. Many more signed editions can be viewed while purusing our Library - including the entire set of Art Turock's books.

Saddle up the horses and go down the road for a fabulous ride at the Back Forte indoor / outdoor or round pen work areas. Take a ground skills lesson from the Professor as you hike down to visit his mule friends, travel across the wide open spaces on the 90 acre property, or hike over to visit OK Long Ears Ranch.

Travel inward. Meditate, read / write poetry, study philosophy, listen to the World's Greatest Teacher series on topics including economics, science fiction, music, literature and more.. Or just light a candle and pour yourself some Bailey's Irish Creme - Base Camp's favorite (winter) drink - our summer drink is Corona Extra.

DISCOVER the property Pack your gear and move out. Hike to The Beach at Taribitha and set up your own Base Camp II . Russel up a healthy camp meal then sit, read, watch the wild life, and nap in the shade of our 1000 year old forest. Everything tastes better when cooked over an open fire, stirred with a stick - and eaten when you are dead tired!!

VISIT the quaint towns of Buckley, Wilkenson, and Carbinado. Each has it's own small town character, shops, resturants, and unique charm. Don't forget to check out Thunder Thursday at the Yella Beak. Meet the easy riders from near and far who do their riding on the mechanical kind of Harley-Davidson!

EXERCISE your interpretive and artistic side in the Base Camp Art Gallery. We have collected dozens of prints by artists from Dali to Picasso, from rennasaince to modern - including a desert 'paint by the numbers' by Marge Hostetler done in 1974. More are added monthly and most beautifully framed prints contains at least 1 horse!
